Artist Statement
PANDEMIC REFLEXION is a series of self-portrait and televised messages captured with a cellphone during the pandemic. It’s about the feeling of endless solitude, the emptyness of stores and streets. It’s about my heart sinking everytime I watch the news to the point where I avoid watching them. It’s about those moments where I look at myself in a window while walking, about those funny and strange scenes created with the reflection. It’s about my frustration, about our government being more and more authoritarian for our own good. It’s about Où est Charlie ? and finding myself but also finding you.
