Robyn Anderson is an interdisciplinary artist working in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal). Her practice consists of a deep exploration of the self and the emotions associated with the non-linear path of personal growth.

In these challenging times, it is more important than ever to maintain a positive outlook on life. The world is upside-down, so I need to shift perspectives to keep up. I need to feel alive and I need my art to feel alive. The current reality we are facing each day is troubling and confusing, and putting ink on paper is a way of engaging with these emotions in a way that doesn’t feel so bad. I am in love with colour and I am in love with my family and I am in love with fresh air and the sunshine on my skin and I am in love with the breath that fills my body with life. I make work in an effort to relieve myself of the grief that comes with living in a pandemic context, and to remind myself of the joy that exists around me.
